The Ohio Alliance of YMCAs Leadership Launchpad

A staff development opportunity offered by the Ohio Alliance of YMCAs
With hiring and retention of staff being one of the challenges facing Ys, the Ohio Alliance is offering Leadership Launchpad. This innovative learning opportunity is a three session pro-gram (all sessions are in-person) designed to help staff launch their YMCA career. The goals are to:

• Develop Leadership Skills
• Enhance Professional Growth
• Foster a Supportive Community
• Improve Staff Retention

Leadership Launchpad is recommended for both full and part-time staff such as program coordinators, managers, lead teachers and new program directors. Staff that successfully complete the program will achieve their YMCA Leader certification. Two identical programs are offered, one in northern Ohio and one in southern Ohio. Participants can choose the location that work best for them.

Northern Ohio – In-person at the Ashland YMCA

  • September 2, 2026 10 am – 4 pm
  • September 30, 2026 10 am – 4 pm
  • October 28, 2026 10 am – 4 pm

Southern Ohio – In-Person at the Xenia YMCA

  • September 3, 2026 10 am – 4 pm
  • October 1, 2026 10 am – 4 pm
  • October 29, 2026 10 am – 4 pm

Participation in all sessions is mandatory to receive certification credit from YMCA of the USA.

Cost is $300 and due at time of registration.

Enrollment is limited to the first 20 participants in each session.
